During the Summer Reading Clinic children are immersed in literacy experiences that include the following: story telling, read alouds, guided reading, drama, independent reading and writing, group discussions, book projects, presentations, research, computer applications, strategic teaching, guest speakers, author studies, integrated art/music/drama, field trips, and book club. Finally, an emphasis on strategies to help children prepare for standardized testing situations will also be implemented. For example, how to manage 35 minutes in order to read a passage, answer multiple-choice questions and write a response.
The cost for the Reading Clinic will be $475.00. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please fill out this online registration and mail a $150.00 deposit* check or money order made out to "Roosevelt University" to:
